Where it all started

From first time i saw the BMW Z3 M Coupe in ‘98, I always wanted one. So I bought one in 2017. From the very first day I drove the car, I understood that I needed to upgrade the stereo. This was the very beginning of my designing and 3D-printing journey.

The result is an enclosure that looks like it belongs and performs like it matters: deeper bass, cleaner output, and no awkward gaps or brute-force modifications to the car’s interior.

It’s a small redesign with a big payoff — smart use of geometry and a little creative thinking turned a cramped challenge into an acoustically generous solution.

This enclosure holds a Focal 5KM subwoofer element, driven by a single Phoenix Gold ZXM500 amplifierl

Any BMW Z3 M Coupe owner knows installing a new subwoofer isn’t a simple DIY — it’s a geometry problem. The cabin is full of odd angles and big curves. I treated the enclosure like a puzzle piece, not a box. By easing a tight corner here and angling a panel there, I reclaimed useful space without hurting the fit or finish.
